Meet Our Family
We had this idea of sharing experiences we have learned from and what we would like to learn/experience in the future as a family. After some back and forth, we finally decided to start an official blog to document it all. A place where we can keep our thoughts and content organized on a platform we control.
I have been a little nervous and anxious about putting ourselves out into the world - Having to open up and be more transparent about our real life family stuff. It's something I always wanted to do - write. I may not be the best at it but this is me. More than anything, we are excited to share as a family.
If there is one thing my husband and I both love, it's traveling. We love traveling near and far when we can. We aspire to travel to more places we have never been to in the coming years. We currently homeschool our children so taking their education on the road will be a great learning experience for all of us.
We will be documenting more on that as we continue.
Me - I'm a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby-wearing, cloth-diapering, gentle parenting, unschooling, home-birthing, natural mama of three. OK, maybe I don't do all that 100% but I give major props to those moms who can do all that with no problem (I need tips). It's not easy - parenting and making sure your kids survive day in day out and trying to raise them to be good people is not easy one bit.
Three kids 4 & under and there are days where I feel like I'm drowning in all the chaos parenting can bring - but they are my everything. All the positive moments certainly outweigh any and all challenging times. Many people do not know this but all three of our children are rainbow babies (babies born after a previous pregnancy loss). Our pride and joy and I thank God for them every single day.
Hubby - My husband Pete currently has a 24/7 on-call career. He works hard AF and is good at what he does. He supports the family with everything he has. One thing about Pete, is he's always finding ways to make extra cash on the side - hustling deals on the internet is one of his hobbies. He also really enjoys making videos and documenting, so he's perfect for the job. Hubby will be our vlog and podcast audio-tech support and I.T. guy 😜.
Max - our oldest who's almost 5-years old. He's my sweet and sensitive little man. Smart, curious, loves to learn about everything and loves to help. Whether it's laundry, helping with groceries, or remodeling (no joke). He loves the fact that we're on this journey and talks about having his own segments on our YouTube channel. He has quite an imagination. We support him in his self-directed learning.
Val - our middle child who's almost 3-years old. Our little mermaid. Waterbirth baby. The Performer. She has been walking, singing and dancing since before she was 1-year old. She's a real girly-girl that loves to play in the mud. She's gravitated toward gymnastics, ballet and music. She's the only 2-year old I have ever known to want a Selena birthday party. Not to be confused with Selena Gomez. Bidi Bidi Bom Bom anyone??
Our littlest one, P - she's our 5-month old little girl. Born at home unassisted caught by daddy (I guess she couldn't wait for the midwives to arrive). Still breastfeeding. All smiles, all the time. Happy and healthy babe. Her sweet personality is already starting to show. If she's anything like her big sister, she'll be walking in no time.
I will be sharing more as time goes on but for now check out our YouTube channel as we have uploaded Vlogs where you could learn more about us. We will be consistently publishing blogs and uploading videos to our YouTube channel.
